Title: using a gast tank instead of diesel tank...
Post by: deepgrooves74 on October 24, 2009, 06:12:37 pm
Anyone know if the diesel gods would allow this to happen in my mk1? I have a both types, but my gas tank is in better condition than the diesel. I do have a really good diesel filler tube that I will use, and everything else seems to hook up the same...

The diaphragm in the diesel tank I have is still good, but I am afraid it will go bad... I have brand fuel lines I am running in stainless steel. The same as stock size... What do you think?

Thanks!!

the "gas" tank in my Mk1 Scirocco worked just fine for my TD swap.  Just don't use the gas high presure pump.  ;)  I did put a low pressure diesel friendly lift pump in it's place tho.

Have fun
