Title: Do you have to cut towers to install Koni Sport Shocks in rear of MKII?

I heard that you did, or is that just the front? Someone offered me 2 used rear shocks for $40 plus shipping and I was trying to figure out if they would be an upgrade from the Boge/Sachs shocks I just put on.
