Title: pump removal and mods
Post by: carrizog60 on September 04, 2009, 12:43:39 pm
hello

i am swapping the gtd pump to the 1.9 ecodisel passat...
how do i remove the pump?precautions?

also with the pump removed should i swap a 10mm head i have and do the governor mod of do this after?
would the 10mm head work ok with the 1.6 camplate.
the head i have only got plunger, springs ans head,no delivery valves.
its ok to use the 1.6 or should i use the 1.9ecodiesel ones?

1.9 are different length, every cam works with every plunger, if the correct shims are used, "HEY" has a nice how-to do it properly

I have two sets of delivery valves if you need them, 1.6 and 1.9

use the 1.6 delivery valves, or the 1.9, but not the tdi ones,as they have a different design
