Title: Air in lines after fuel filter change help
Post by: spencebm on August 29, 2009, 12:55:31 pm
I was trying to do a friendly thing and help a buddy change a fuel filter and the little truck won't start.  The truck has no in-tank lift pump so I knew it would get air in it but I can't seem to get it all out.  The injectors are getting fuel, the pump and filter are full of fuel and still no start after a fair amount of cranking...Any ideas professionals?  Thank you.  Foxracer1 is gay.

Crack the injection lines open at the injectors and crank until you get fuel coming out. I don't know if said truck has a check valve but a lot of times when you open up the fuel system and the check valve is either MIA or broken the fuel is siphoned back into the tank. Make sure the stop solenoid is still getting 12v.

Thanks.  I will crank it.
