Title: Feeler --Giles N/A Injection Pump
Post by: mtnbob on August 25, 2009, 04:21:48 pm
I bought this high-performance pump for my 1.6 N/A less than 2 years ago. It was a fantastic upgrade. My car finally became enjoyable to drive! The pump is in perfect condition, no settings have ever been touched. It is currently running perfectly in my car. I'm upgrading to a turbo though and will be buying a Giles Turbo pump. Just wondering if there would be any interest and what it would be worth to you. ;D I paid around $1000 for it, including shipping.

No problem, just stating what I paid for it with shipping from Canada. I'm sure anyone considering a high performance pump would check into what they cost new from Canada.  8) For the people that contacted me through instant message, It was an obvious difference over the stock pump, my mileage has still been over 40 overall. I would recommend setting up your air intake to allow more cool air to flow. I had more smoke under full throttle at first until I put a K&N filter on and made a new intake hose to pull air from behind the headlight instead of from the engine compartment. I would possibly consider a partial trade for a intercooler since I'm transitioning to a turbo setup. This is not a pump that has been sitting around, it is one that is being used currently on my daily driver and working great!

Ty, but after buying the parts from you and getting new shocks and struts(Boge/Sachs per your recommendation) and springs, I'm tapped out for a few weeks. Next time you are heading this way let me know, maybe I'll need something! 8)

i'm throwing it out there to see what kind of offers i get. I've had a few interesting offers. I need to get enough to pay for most of my new turbo pump from Giles!!! What would a Giles pump that has been on my car for less than two years be worth to ya!!! It will come out of my car, be drained sealed and be shipped within a day!

I'm told that the high performance pumps are currently selling for 750 and 950 CAD plus shipping, which is about $700 and $900 US dollars plus about $50 shipping. Just a FYI to give you an idea ;D

Getting close, just need to take it off of my daily driver. I put this feeler out there to see what people might be willing to pay for a two-year-old high performance pump. I will be putting a td pump on my car when I get all the turbo stuff on. I am probably a few weeks away from a serious sell, gotta put on all the parts you sent me. I have had a bunch of inquiries on my instant messenger, but no one through out any offers yet.
