Title: bad brake pedal
Post by: SMOKEYDUB on September 21, 2005, 08:05:04 pm
I bled all the air out of the system of my a2 jetta and installed 10.1 inch brake kit. Whats wrong? Do I need the master cylinder from the passat? Anyways I am more then likely just going to change it to the passat one To see if its the problem.

Thanks

maybe,,i ran into this snag on my 83 gti wheni put 10.1 kit on front,,,ihave more pedaltravel,,,doesnt really bother me though, cause of bigger caliper pistons,,,,need the 16v master also, and it would be right,,,i kinda like more pedal travel,,gives more "feel" at the limit,,,,

I got the same mushy pedal on my 81 rabbit w 10.1 frts w 200mm rears. It looks like I 'll hafta change to the 22 mm mastercyl ........ darn I just put on a new 21mm master.......... I thought that you only had to do that for rear discs .  :? Oh well ... I guess that means that I'll also have to change the vac canister to the 9" too........ more bug hunting in the yards.......
