Are you looking for car or van fitment?

I have the car-type tube from my AAZ... that should fit the fit the 1Z, unless they changed the bolt position...

It is going in a van but I have a tube from a 1.6 I think that I thought would fit but it's too skinny. So I thought to weld the 1z base to the upper part of the DV tube.

So the AAZ tube should work for the base where it goes into the block.

How much?

Thanks, Tom

Uh-oh... then I may have the same problem; I have a DV dipstick coming from Germany, but you're saying the base of the tube is too small for the 1.9 block? ???  Scheise... I guess I'll have to hold onto the AAZ tube until I see for sure, sorry.

See kids, this is why you don't throw anything away until the conversion is complete ::) I already had to buy a new oil cooler after finding the one on the AAZ crushed by the motor resting on the filter... and I had just shipped the old wasserleaker off to the scrapyard with the oil cooler still on it.

Yep, got it from Vanagon Jurgen (my bad though, didn't have a clue), the base is too small. If my research is accurate you need it from a later (83.5+) DV.
