1.6 engine block for sale. Just the bare block, it has been hot tanked and cleaned. It was speced and is still good. $50

I believe it is a hydraulic since the car it came from had hydraulic lifters. Is there something on the block that I could double check just to make sure??

yes look at the deck and see if there's an oil return hole on the front side between cyls. one and two. Hydraulics have the return hole mechanicals don't.

would someone happen to have a picture of one? I checked this block and there is holes but I want to make sure I am looking at the right thing. I don't want to sell someone the wrong block.
