Title: glowplug control unit
Post by: haybayian on June 18, 2009, 06:48:34 am
I was given an object called "gluhzeitsteuergerat" 0 281 003 007 made by Bosch when I bought a Detroit diesel engine years ago. Now my understanding is that I am looking at a glowplug timer, right? Is that something I could use to time the glowplugs on my AAZ?

Thanks

i don't think you can set these, but heres a fix
big solenoid (that can handle 75 amps), a botton to activate. and a finger with precision timing. easy, simple..
i plan on doing this as a addon with my current glowplug circuit, with a switch auto, off, on
or you can replace it. theres two type of glowplug circuits, slow (6 sec.) fast (3 Sec). don't forget pre (before you sit) and post (after a driving block)..
