Got to work on thursday and my first job was to destroy a test engine we had in one company Kenworths it had about 150,000 kms on it it was pulled and a new test engine installed . It ran great but a updated version came out . so it had to be wrecked they had pics of that was to be cut and smashed. I almost cryed. now it is worth about .04 cents a pound, or $160.00 bucks in scrap .

Test engines don't always make it to the scrap pile. I once saw (back in the 80's when I was still trucking)3 turbo diesel slant 6 dodge engines, part of a test of 25 engines that dodge did back before they made a deal with cummins. Don't know how this guy got his hands on them, or what he ever did with them........... One had seen a sledge hammer (busted the custom cast intake) but the other two were still complete.
