Title: Question about headgasket

I have read all the posts, and i still dont have an answer..I have an IC, I have a real TD pump (I own eco Golf), but the only thing I don't get is the 1.9 TD head gasket..I am no mechanic, but how do you put a head gasket with bore 79.5mm on a engine with bore 76.5mm?

Or you are talking about some another 1.9 L engine?

Or you are talking about some another 1.9 L engine?

The gasket bore is just larger but it will still seal as the dimensions of the block surface are still the same. This will also lower the compression a bit.

Lower the compression?..How much?..What I mean, in winter can be very cold, and compression is significant for cold start...
