Title: engine starts runs and won't start again
Post by: haybayian on June 03, 2009, 02:38:11 am
Hi IDI Group,
I wonder if any of you could point me in the right direction. My AAZ is a brand new rebuilt engine  including IP and turbo.  I have checked the pump's timing, the engine started, I drove the car ok and stopped. Then the engine refused to start again. I checked the fuel at the injectors connection, all seems normal. What should I do next?

Thanks

Haybayian

i have an mk3 (AAZ) that doesn't start till you tap the brakes (alarm goes off on the second turn of the key if you don't)
but i don't think thats your problem

does it crank over? if it does
check the fuel solenoid. is their 12V there?
you could remove the spring and plugger from the fuel solenoid and keep it running until theres no fuel
there might be air in the system still, after the IP's rebuild.
to stop the engine, cut its fuel supply off, air, or drop the clutch on it
