Post by: catlin_cava on June 01, 2009, 04:58:03 pm
Well this is going to be my good bye for a bit, I'll stay in the shadows, I'm scrapping and parting out the car. Don't worry I stayed with a VW, 98 VW Jetta Wolfsburg...for the transmission in my car lol. Who knows I may get another Diesel in the near future. Thanks for All the help you guys have gave me.

Is your Wolfie made in Canada, Mexico, or Germany?
I've got a '98 Wolfsburg as well, & had to replace a plethora of Mexican Bosch parts, as well as the 5-spd trans that lost 5th gear... ::)

Nah, Wolfsburg is a trim level... Usually everything except leather & VR6.

 Anyone remember the "Champagne Editions"?

I have the Wolfsburg stock 1.6 diesel. About the only option was A/C and stereo cassette. More like the 'Old English 800' Edition than the "Champagne Edition" you mention... :)

Stay safe,stay well.Jimmy

After a certain time, "Wolfsburg" just means a different trim package.
