I have installed it and it works well!!! Yea!!!!!!

I forgot that they mentioned the Vr6 auto also in this article. I guess I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes!!! 8)

No problem Vince, without your help and the other awesome members on here, my car would be sitting in the driveway. But the problem is you are an enabler to my growing VW addiction 8)

Interesting note--- The starter is much quieter, it barely sounds like it is turning, but it starts it right up. ;D

Of course that might be due to the old starter being so loud or the new starter bushing I installed. 8)

I was able to get mine for $25 plus shipping of $11 or $12. Plus it was in great shape. Not sure if it still has the plastic gears inside like all of my other ones. :o
