Title: Post up cool features you've found on the new forum software
Post by: Vincent Waldon on May 23, 2009, 11:59:22 am
I'll go first... here's a few:

- the hour meter at the top of the screens that tells you your cumulative time wasted...er... on-line
- the comprehensive text editor with tables, subscripts, colours, etc
- the "report a post to the moderator" button, so Tyler and I don't have to read every single line ;)

Forgot my new favorite... "Search" now defaults to "search for ALL words" rather than "search for ANY old word".   ;) ;) ;)

The graph in your profile stats is pretty neat. Shows you what times you usually post. Rack another up for the 2 o'clocker! :)  :-*

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically mark threads as read when you leave the site so that next time you come back the threads that had new posts before aren't marked as new?

I mean the way it used to be. Change is tough. :P

Yea, I just hate having to click that button every time for every forum subgroup.

You have a good point Andrew, I think that this part ( lock and delete ) might be let to the mods to avoid an abuse
of it...

Down it the bottom of the main page there's a button to see who's online, what they're looking at and it says if they're posting, it's kinda neat.

Thumbs up on the new look :D

I've discovered if you send a pm but forgot to check "save a copy in my outbox" then you can't get it back and I always forget what I said.....BUT, if you go into "modify you profile" then click "personal messages options" you can make it automaticly save a copy every time! Very handy. :D

Until Saturday I would have gave anything for a spell-check but I stumbled across something on the internet for updating drivers for my laptop's touchpad and now the cursor just doesn't take off on it's own and screw everything up like it did before and take 10 min . to type something that should only take 30 sec.   Very nice Forum with a lot of features, but it's adictive :P  I like the emoticons too especialy  ;D, looks like he's pretty happy with himself doesn't he?
