Title: 1984 Jetta diesel power booster help

Have not found a replacement diesel booster. Has anyone used a 1981-1984 gas booster. The difference appears to be on the inlet of the booster. The diesel has a hole while the gas one has a 1/4 inch or so steel tube nipple. I was thinking of using a short piece of hose to slide over the nipple and then cut my hard plastic on the diesel line.
