Hi ,
Well, after 2 weeks of down time, forum is now back online. It all start when my ISP shut
down my account due to a too high activity in the database.. They cannot tell if it were an
attack or a problem with the SQL database... So I denied an IP that were burning more than 3 gig
of BW/month.. It didn't fix it.. So I decide to move the phpBB3. I tried many hours to convert
the database to phpbb3, no success.. I ask one of my friend " Wingaman ", and after more than
7 hours, no luck.
He found a nice forum engine and the conversion went very well. So here we are with a new forum engine.
It looks like all the database has been frozen in time, ie, we're back at the time I shutdown the forum.
It's a fresh install, i spend many hours to configure all the options and stuff, so everything should be
up an running.
In the upcoming weeks, I might shut the forum for a short period of time, to install new packages or to
fix bugs, but it should be pretty sporadic.
Please, report bugs to our moderators so we can fix them one at the time.

thanks for all the hard work in getting the forum back online! i've seen a few websites with the same warning come up, so i think its just some moron hackers trying to piss people off.
btw the layout looks pretty cool but some of the winks are missing :( but on the positive side, there are a bunch of extra options for customizing posts :)

now that i'm browsing the forum i too like the old format. it was sooo simple, but i'm sure i'll get used to this way :)

Yes thank's very much for all the trouble you went through to get us together again. I realy missed this place when it was down and seeing what all the other dieselfreaks like me have to say. Where else can you go to find the answers to the kinds of questions we have. Good to see you all on here again.

wow, the place looks a little nicer than we left it.
It is true, you dont know what you got till its gone...
and I really really missed this board!
(Aside from finding Vince and 53_Willys on the Vortex, it is pretty bleak out there!)

I love the SMF forum engine !
The other forum I use (www.golfgtiforum.co.uk) uses it, makes it almost feel like a 2nd home already, and I've only just got here 8)

Very glad to have the forum up and running again, it's been a great source of info for me. For some reason though, it's extremely slow, ie click on something and check back in 2-3 minutes. Wondering if anyone else is having this prob?

I reccomend the "Quick reply" box that shows up at the bottom of the thread page, so you can type in there and hit post, it saves you an extra click and the time to load the reply page.
