Title: Late 70's Beetle Roof Rack on a rabbit???
Post by: TD_Bunny on May 04, 2009, 08:15:53 pm
I have the opportunity to get a late 70's roof rack with wood slats for my '84 rabbit 4dr and needed to know if they work together. It wood seem, without testing, the shape of the beetle is too curved and the rack wont work but I am hoping that is not the case.

If that rack does not work does anyone know which VW roof racks are compatible with a 4dr rabbit?

thanks

I'm going to say it will not work. The beetle rack is quite curved, and very narrow. Even if you found some way to make it work it would probably stick way up and look weird.
