-
thats why you need to leave your gf there to hold it for you
-
I saw it yesterday and me and the old man looked at it and I didn't impulse and buy it right away. Talked to the woman and she said no at first. I talked to her again today about it and she caved and said yes...I go get the money and come back...

Well now you see Catlin.. Thats what you get for asking the woman. :P
She can't say no when you show up with it!! lol

Track down the buyer, offer then $200.

i like your thinking! hopefully they know nothing about diesels

How can you not impulse buy it when they only wanted $100 for it? :D
I blame the old lady that was selling the car! She sold it right out from under you! What a BIIIAAAATTTTTCCCHHHH! (Say it like a rap star!) :)
-
With no paperwork I'd have been hesitant to buy it.

She was at the University for the day so she wasn't with me...I'll look and find one with papers :D I saw a rabbit N/A with factory sunroof yesterday but it was in bad shape  Most cars around here are rotted to the ground

Girlfriend I could somewhat understand, but wife you have problems. I don't mean to offend anyone out there, but before I got married I told the soon to be wife that all final decisions would be made by me...and if not then we don't need to get married. She agreed and now is sometimes upset, but I tell her that I am the one that will be held accountable for this family and she calms down.
I say that to say this, if you don't want something like I have you may want to next time put some money down as a holder maybe only 10.00. Then when you GF has objections you take her back to the dealer "to get your money back." Then when she sees the diesel awesomeness she won't be able to say no.

To each his own. It is like religion and politics. Everyone has an opinion and very rarely are they the same. People should hold true to what they believe, but keep those touchy conversations private to avoid non forum related debates. Even best friends argue about certain issues.
IMHO.

X2
But speaking of diesel awesomeness... I went to whistler yesterday and on the sea to sky near squamish i saw a fully loaded jetta (4 people) just flooring it through a right turn at a set of lights onto the highway. I had to point it out to my brothers in appreciation as the blackness consumed the intersection.

when i comes down to impulse buying this is the phone call I got last march..." Hi hun how are you?....I love you....uhhh I bought a car..." and she gets upset when I did that to her for 500 parts car last summer but I keep bringing up her 20,000$ impulse on a car

I'm surprised that she didn't protest when you dragged her to your cave. Or maybe you just clubbed her unconscious first.
LOL!

Nah, I save the club for baby fur seals and wounded animals. I was just saying the way I have it and I like it so far. It isn't that I don't ask for her opinion, but if there is a disagreement in our opinions it goes my way.
Either way to each his own and good luck, but I still think that the diesel awesomeness would be enough, you just need to get it in front of her :D. Good luck with finding the guy who bought it and getting him to sell.

Back in January I wanted to get a Sat radio... She said we didn't need it at the time...Today we took a Kia Soul out for a test drive(I know I know its not a VW) and it had a Sirius radio built in and we where listening to it...she turned it down and looked at me "How much a month is it again..." So after 5 Different stops in town...and 2 Hours of work...I installed one in her car...I still love her  Plus we get it free online too lol

theres a reason that a long long time ago the Patriarchs dominated the Matriarchs. of course the debate back then wasn't satellite radio, but i'm sure it was equally unimportant
me hungry now!
