I recently bought two of these turbo's.  One came damaged in shipping one arrived in great shape.  Need to sell one to help pay for the repair of the second.  This will also make the wife happy to see some money going BACK INTO the account  .

Looks like a low mileage take off unit.  Great shape.  Will post pictures tomorrow.  No electronic connections on this turbo.  I will add to the post tomorrow as well.

Looking for $225 shipped in conus.  Will ship out of conus but shipping will be actual cost.
If you want to use paypal, toss in the extra 3% please.

Edit 4/27
I will ship to Canada, but you need to get with me about any particulars about valuation etc.. I dont want you to get socked with crazy fee's, but I dont want to be responsible for them either.
I will insure this for whatever you want but it will be extra.
I plan on using a USPS flat rate box thats around 15 bucks.  I will credit that amount towards shipping to Canada.  I will tape off all the turbo openings and pack as secure as I can, but insurance is reccomended.

Sorry for the delay in photo's. Had a barbecue / bonfire to go to last night.  Too much beer for good photos when I got home :) .  Anyway, here are the pic's.  I pulled the compressor housing so you could see the blades are good, no contact etc, heck the paint mark is still on the wheel!  There is no shaft play other than what you would expect from a turbo sitting without oil for a little while, no in or out movement.  Control lever for the vanes moves freely with out sticking or any binding.
I called a Garrett performance distributor about turbo maps for this unit.  I was told they are proprietary to Garrett and they had no access to them, go figure.  What he did say was that this will flow better than a non vnt 2056 and still have a quicker spool time.  He said you could use the gt2056 map as a guideline, however it will be somewhat shifted to the right.

Here are the pic's.  As a note, the turbine housing is bone dry without oil on it, no rust.  It is still black iron.  Looks oily in the photos but it is not.

cdnVWjunkie sent me a pm on 4/26 0900 with an expression of intrest, so he has first dibs if he wants it.

cyrus #1 is next in line with a 4/27 pm.

I will update if the transaction becomes final.

Jim

That is not rust on the blade, just some sort of grease or something.

Here is a close up of the turbine blades.  Look at all those suckers!  You can tell its been run, but this thing is still a very, very clean unit.

Numbers show they are from a jeep liberty 2.8 CRD.  I think they use this in some of the other jeep crd vehicles as well.  Found this on line.  I am sure it can produce more boost than stock ECU settings.

"A VM Motori 2.8 L I4 common rail turbodiesel became available in CRD branded 2005–2006 Sport and Limited models. The diesel utilized a variable geometry turbocharger and generated 160 horsepower (120 kW) and 295 pound-feet of torque. "

Yeah, I put it out there at what I thought was a pretty good price.  I would have asked for a more on tdiclub or vortex, but this is a good site, lots of good people.  I want to see it on a IDI
I'll take a good karma future credit

I know you sold em already but this is sort of a turbo question. In the picture of the exhaust side of the all the blades...

is there a point to/can you clean those blades?

Remove turbine shaft, mask off everything but the wheel portion, and bead blast on reduced pressure. I think thats what your asking?  :D

Thats how you do it.  You can chemical clean first to get the gease and soot off.  Low power setting for aluminum works well.

i bet you could also use a propane torch to burn off any carbon.  the blades should be able to handle the heat right???

I dont know.  The iconel can take some good heat, but I do not know what the limit is.  No way on the compressor wheel though.

ive used a torch to clean my turbos before. it just kinda turns the blades gray and then you can blow most of the soot off.

That would kick ass for sure!!  The car would pull like a freight train running downhill!  Fittting it in with all the super funky exhaust components would be a trick. I am just hitting the 20,000 mile mark and mpg have shot way up.  I do a 120 mile round trip drive to work and have been averaging about 53mpg.
You doing any tunes for the 2.0 16v yet?  I wonder what you could get out of the stock turbo?
I was planning on using this turbo on my franken build.  Might be a bit large, but we'll have to see.  If it is, I may try and go for something on the lines of a 1749VB.

Here's a video of a 2.0 16v on a dyno:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gULtk0b4vRA

HP/Torque results are in the Youtube description.

I may take a 2.0 16v DSG to a dyno in about 12 hours.. If the customer shows up. I'll take a video of that too. The cool thing with the 2009 TDI ECU is that it has a built in EGT limiter. If EGT gets too hot, it'll automatically cut back power to protect the engine. One of the bigger bottlenecks for 2.0 16v power may be the exhaust system. Installing a straight-thru exhaust may cut down EGT significantly, freeing up some more power. The exhaust mod won't be legal though.
