Title: What is the switch under the fuel pedal for?
Post by: GIDDY_UP_GO on April 24, 2009, 06:59:29 pm
My 86 n/a diesel has a small switch under the fuel pedal that is engaged when the pedal is depressed all the way to the floor. Does anyone know what this switch does. (My mechanic thinks it disengages the A/C during full throttle to give the car more power to get up and go)

i would agree with your mechanic.  i would personally like to have a disengage switch at the shift knob as well
