Title: whats this air/vac pump in the trunk??

was looking at my 91 jetta parts car and came across this pump in the trunk, did not have time to trace it so what is it for?? thanks Mark.

Power door locks.... it's all the way in the trunk and surrounded in styrofoam to dampen the noise.

No worries... it's kind of a strange system. ;-)

Just noticed you're in Winnipeg Mark... you and your loved ones OK??  Lots of water there.... AGAIN !!  My dad's from Winnipeg and has pictures of himself as a kid filling sandbags... many decades ago.

I lived in Winnipeg when the asinaboine (Spelling?) flooded. I was 7. Flooding is Dismal.


ps. That's Hilarious that the door locks were pneumatic? :P hahahaha

I was wondering the same thing I have that on my 91. Figured it out when I pushed the drivers door lock pin down and heard the pump kick in.
