I am just curious to see what others tastes are here on this site. So please enlighten me and post links to your favorite VW videos, build threads, pics and sites. (Preferrably Diesel). :)

What is the length of the track? How much does it cost to take a lap?

Tnx:) the track is Arctic Circle Raceway, it is 3.753 m. and is north Europe`s finest. there are different car clubs an others how has track days and wekends, so we just join in on those. normaly you have to pay 50-80 USD for friday to sunday

wonder how they got syncro on that golf.  the passat version isn't a direct swap right? but can it be modified to fit? or does a system from say a golf country need to be used???  last time i saw the 1.9PD TDI video it didn't have syncro...  man that car goes like stink  :twisted:

and that burning golf... 1.8T engine tuned.  the oil and coolant turn into a nice fuel for the fire.  my best guess is improper oil was used, or the turbo just simply failed.  either way it sucks for him!!! better switch to diesel  :lol:

Yeah, that syncro in that Golf is uber-badazz! I would say that was from a Golf Country, but that is only my guess.

And that Golf that went up in flames......That was the 1st time I had ever heard that song "Say it ain't so" by WEEZER. Now, everytime I hear the song, I think about that Golf going up in flames! :(

On a side note, now I always carry a fire extinguisher in my car! :D

Some music is cool to set the tempo for the upcoming fun.  I think on the last vid I saw of yours it was all engine noise except for the occasional choice dialog :lol:

its hard to get good sound when the camera is outside the car, get to mutch wind in the mic.

Another thing about videos that made me wonder, is all the youtube films from could starting diesel vw`s. why are there so meny of those? and why do people find that interesing?

but not in north america :(  uber rare!  but we do have passat syncro's  :D i'd love to find out if a syncro setup from a passat could be shoe horned into a mk2 or even a mk1  :twisted: just have to modify the rear axle and shorten the driveshafts, or just live with a really wide rear end  :lol:

LOTS of great VW commercials from South Africa. The corporate ones are particularly good, esp. "Memories", "Car Logo", People Logo" and "Decades"...

really only 75 hp at 2 bar???
my 1.6 seems to have as much if not more power on boost than my parents ALH (90hp)
it could still rock my jetta because of the low end and VNT but on boost my jetta goes like stink. did you dyno your aaz at 2bar?

75hp is standar with 0.4 bar
