You don't mention the year. I have always been fascinated by these but have yet to find one that doesn't need some kind of work. If you get down to the city I would be interested in taking a look at it. Cheers Dan

take a look at the title its an '84 and I have it parked right now. It doesn't need any work besides the pump rebuild. Buy it and get the pump done and you have a really nice car. I just cant deal with it right now, its bad timing for me. If you drove it you would really like it, it has way more power than the 1.6TD and if Gilles mods the pump it could be really interesting.

Dear Dieselbubber,

looks good, even with the less extra equipment. Stay with that car and sell your jetta. This BMW engine is top, i have the same car and it pulls now 200 hp with 370Nm at 25psi boost.

The complete powert train is capable for even more power and has rear drive, so you can bring the power on the street.

Best Regards
Alleslowbuged

P.S. Thanks for the E28 Forum Link

Since its an 84, is there any less hassle to get this into the US?
What's involved to do this?

Thank you for that info, very cool. That was my plan...Hmm?? We will see what happens if it doesn't sell soon I will get the pump done and probably end up keeping it, I need to get the Bentley manual for E-28 (which doesn't cover the 524TD) and the BMW repair manual for the engine.
