Title: running full viton lines
Post by: lovinthedeez on April 13, 2009, 01:11:42 pm
i'm switching an 86 jetta from gas to diesel.  instead of using the cis lines, i want to buy a bunch of bulk viton line and run that from the diesel sending unit i'm getting to the filter.  was just wondering because when i bought viton for my rabbit, it came with just a few small sections.  is it a cost thing?

yeah and your gonna have to cut it anyway. So why not send short lengths, that way they can saves the longer lengths for other kits.

cis is the fuel injection to and fro lines from the fuel distributor from the intank pump.  i'm completely removing the cis system in its entirety.  i guess I just wanted to know if the hard lines are the same from gas to diesel. The cis system is going to someone else that wants it and the more complete i can make it for them the better.  the other question was if I could just buy two long pieces of viton and run my sendingi unit to filter and the ip return to the tank.
