You did this last year right?
-
yup I did, thats where my numbers are from :D unfortunately i wont be able to run this year as i have my car all torn apart to do some "work" on  so this year i will be running my GM 6.5 L but id like to see some vws would be good
-
Why is it on a friday?
Have you done anything to the 6.5? I hate working on those trucks...
-
Nice thing about those trucks is that you can generally just throw a PMD on them to get them to run right. :D or you can have one like my mom's that has had all of the normal stuff replaced and tested and still not know what the problem is as it still shuts off at random times. :x Sorry to get of topic, just saw mention of 6.5TDs
-
haha yeah im just driving it now becasue im building up the volkswagen and yes it does need a pmd, stupid things  done a waterpump on it, and just normal maintenance but other thatn that its been pretty good, although the body is getting bad :( last year was preety good alot of cummins showed up and some strokes as well as duramaxes, and i think we had 4 or 5 vw's andy2 was there if im not mistaken showing off his compund turbo setup.
-

Not too sure if I'll bring the golf to the May 9th Dodge/Cummins dyno day or the May 30th VW/TDI dyno day as both are held at the Diesel Doctors?
-
My car doesn't have an exhaust. Will I be able to run on the dyno still?
-
no exhaust no problem lol a few guys only had downpipes last year and i dont know if they are the same diesel doctor lol the only one i know about is the may ninth one he holds it every year.

If any of you guys are running the stock vw t3 and want to try my merc compressor housing and wheel for a few dyno runs to map the difference I might be talked into shipping it up as a loaner for test purposes. See my post in the idi section about compressor upgrades. It would be good if you had the correct guage setups so could compare boost, egt etc.
I am guessing you might need to adjust fuel to take advantage of the greater (fingers crossed) boost.
Let me know, Jim

I think that there will only be one vw IDI on the dyno and it will have a k24/k26 according to TDI club.
-
How was the show? Any pictures? with the forums being down I couldn't get any info for it and missed it >:(
-
The TDI club dyno day is this saturday May 30th at the same location.Older diesels are welcome to come and dyno as well.Sorry for the late notice.
-
hey andy did you end up running your car, i would have gone but my ruck enede up popping both headgaskets, so i had no ride :(
-
Both headgaskets?? which engine ? Is it up and running again?
I ended up just dynoing my daily driver and got 155 whp and 280 wtq ;) .My compound turbo machine is having fueling issues that we are almost about to solve,,I think.Once the fueling and boost are good then I'll dyno it.
-
1994 chev silverado with the 6.5 TD in it lol made some improvements to it :) took the baffles out of the intake , deleted teh egr, built a mechanical boost controller to eliminate the stupid vacume one, lol and put arp head studs and felpro gaskets in it :) goes back together saturday
-
Nice,I'm just in the middle of replacing 1 headgasket on a 2000 6.5td at work.
