Title: brake light 1981 caddy

the brake light stay's on in my caddy. why? I did do a search but the search engine was of nooo help.

the big read light next to the seat belt light that says brake.

Sometimes a worn e-brake will not sit full on the switch that turns off the light when let down.  Had this problem with a few vw's

That switch is located just in front of the e-brake bracket, if the light goes out when you push the switch down, the problem is in the position of switch, the e-brake position, .....  Or you can unplug the switch and see if it goes out.

If it is still on, you have uneven brake pressure, and its back to the Bentley. :twisted:

Man i feel like a (BLANK)! ya it was the switch was poped off to the side. thanks to all you GREAT! people!
