Title: WTT: my 1.9TD 90amp alternator for 1.6TD alternator
Post by: zagarus on March 30, 2009, 10:30:57 pm
I have a 1.9TD 90amp alternator in perfect condition and I am looking to trade it for a mk2 1.6TD alternator.  Reason is because i am not going with the serpentine setup as all i need is one V-belt now for alt and WP.   Would be nice to get a 90A if possible and also in perfect working condition.

Can you go to an alternator shop and have them put on the v-belt pulley with the correct offset spacer?

I am switching to v-belt because i only have the water pump and alternator to worry about.  But because i deleted the serpentine i needed to get a mk2 alternator bracket to act as the tensioner.  Unfortunately the mk3 alternator doesn't mount to the mk2 bracket, therefore i need a diesel mk2 alternator.

And For No AC and CE2

I have one with the "W" terminal, but I'm on the east coast. Shipping would be high.
