Has anyone ever installed an expansion tank for the coolant on the 27" radiator that has the cap? The reason I ask is, I was sitting at a drive through today and looked down and my guage was maxed out. Both fans were running. It went back down too about 3/4 once I got back on the road and stayed there till I got home. I'd like to have the expansion tank to help bleed air from the system and be able to see the coolant level while the engine is hot.

Jeff.....I am running the 22" rad with a cap and the bottle with a cap.

no problem jeff, just find an overflow rad that fits your car and a bottle... and buy a length of tube. someone will buy your over-flow-less rad if its in good shape.

That was an old post. I'm using the Quantum rad with cap and also using the ball style overflow bottle. Seems to be working well.

I realized how old it was after I had laready posted it up....

ZIPPY,
What kind of car is that engine in? Can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts. Of course, for me, it's a short drive.
Thanks, Harry
