Title: accelaration problem

Hi volks idi newby here, I just installed 1.6td jx code (imported from Germany it is a factory vanagon TD engine) in my vanagon. After lots of fun I was able to get the engine started but it will only idle, it idles smoothe but when I try to rev it from the IP nothing happens it still just only idles. Any suggestions?

did you modify the pump in any way? did you need to time it, or did you just install the engine as is and get it to run?
