Title: Jetta parts for a golf?
Post by: A Guy on August 16, 2005, 11:50:44 am
Will the parts from a 92 Jetta fit a 91 golf.  The jetta has a GTI Trans and is a NA Gas engine.  I'm not initerested in the engine but all other parts.  For example the jetta has power everything and I was thinking of putting some of them on the golf like window and roof etc.  will this fit without moding?
Thanks
Greg

I've tried a quick search and nothing is really coming up.
Anybody?

If your Golf is 4 door and Jetta too, el. windows will be able to install. Interior is the same, without rear seats.

If both cars you mentioned are based on the A2 chassis, then you can swap many parts between them including suspension, body, interior, etc.

Somewhere (but not on this board) there should be a general VW FAQ, which should list the chassis types of various vw models & years.  Edit: here we go; scroll to the very bottom: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/autos/vw/general-faq/
