Title: How to make 2.0 TDI in 1.9 TDI-PD 8v ARL?
Post by: elroberl on March 01, 2009, 09:54:38 am
Hello.

I have 1,9 tdi-PD 150 cv 8V.

I want to make this motor 2,0 tdi.

That pistons I need…81 or 82 mm?
I need to change the connecting rods and the crankshaft ?

I need to mechanize cylinder block ?

Thanks.

apparently vw's idea of a 2.0TDI is actually something like 1.955L or something   which isn't too much of an upgrade, but still decent.

AFAIK you should be able to use the larger pistons with just boring out the block.  i need to install my etka again to xref the part numbers.  you'll definitely need to tune the ECU to get it performing the way it should with the extra volume though.
