I invited the posters to come join us here on the Forum, maybe they'll show up and tell us more about their cars!  (genuine A1 Golf GTDs.)

thoes are stock????? i cant even do that in my stock a2 jetta td when there is a crap load of water and veg oil on the ground!!!! what is GTD?? i want one of thoes!!!!!

And what would make you think that?  Just because you've never seen one doesn't mean they don't exist.  (Hint: they are euro-only and very rare!)

I have a factory A1 GTD brochure - the cars look just like those in the videos referenced above.  The Brochure is in german and I even translated it.  :)  I think I posted it on the old board?

Not to mention I've also got a badge from an A1 GTD on my grill (it just says "GTD").  Used to have a rear badge also from an A1 GTD, said "Golf GTD", but then some puck-ass kid ripped it off.  :(  So now I'm back to running the original "Rabbit Diesel L" on the back.  Sleeper.  ;)  And oh yeah, I think I also have from a Golf Mk1 GTD, a 4-pad steering wheel insert, it says "Turbo Diesel" in it.  Not running that anymore (Changed to a smaller diameter steering wheel.) but I've got it in my garage.  ;)

actually i thought i read that on this forum!!  :shock: must have been the tex.  :lol:

thanks for the link.. FF gearbox, check. TD engine, check. GTI suspension, check. GTI hatch, check. black VW emblem, check... i didn't realize but i'm turning my car into a GTD. just need the GTD badges.  :lol:

Heh heh.  I have a new A2 "Golf GTD" rear hatch badge and a new A2 "GTD" fender emblem.  But you can't have 'em... ;)

I just bought a A1 GTD for about $80 ;) It has a broken engine but a new windshield...  :)  anyone want to buy the emblems?  8)
