Title: Intercooler Tubing for 2001 ALH with VNT-15
Post by: dubCanuck1 on August 08, 2005, 06:33:01 pm
Hi all,

Will the tubing from a 1.8T fit for a 1.9 ALH? I have to do some custom plumbing for my swap and am trying to find some cheap, yet quality tubing from ebay.

Nope.  The TB on a 1.8T is in a completely different spot than the TDI's intake.  And I'm relatively certain the turbo to intercooler pipe for the 1.8T connects in a different location.  You might, however, be able to use the hard lower pipe from the 1.8T with the TDI rubber hose.  In either case, you might be better off getting some cheap and dirty pipes bent at a shop, or maybe just pick the right parts up from a junked TDI.
