Anybody else using one of these? I feel it's a superior design over the stock intake.
-
with a little work this could be made to work with a 1.9TD right? how much does it weigh? this wouldn't clear a k24 turbo would it?
-
See if these pics help. I'm not sure what exhaust manifold you are using.

Ginormous turbo.
-
That intake charge pipe is beautiful. Absolutely looks factory.
-
its a callaway piece if I am not mistaken.
-
I like how that setup gives the intake more room to "breathe" instead of the stock TD setup with the turbo mating with the intake sharing its heat.
-
That manifold looks a lot like a stock CIS gasser one to me...I thought the g60 ones were a lot more 'squareish' looking?
-
the G60 and cis manifolds are very similar.
the G60 one is a little stockier with slightly shorter runners and a slightly bigger plenum.
-
The piece from the turbo to the manifold is custom Callaway. 8)
It was removed to add the inter-cooler.
Yeah, the turbo is a little too big, maybe someone else can use it. I will have it for sale in a couple of months.
-
what kind of turbo is it?
if it is something I might be able to use I might wait on getting a new one until you are selling yours.

It's a Roto-Master turbo. I believe they were consumed by Garrett. The place that rebuilt it did a fantastic job. I was talking with the owner, he has a balancing machine that is so sensitive that if you laid a piece of paper from a hole punch on one of the blades, it could tell.
I'm in the process of moving and the turbo specs are written in the shop manual, so I can't find it right now. I know from the original picture that the A/R on the intake is 60.
Kinda gitten off track here......YES, THE INTAKE IS STILL FOR SALE!!!
