Chances are that this gasser replacement alt will not have that magic 'W' terminal; so you'lose some facilities..gear change light, glowplug rpm based off, cruise control? easy install tacho....
Read somewhere 'W' terminal could be created by a soldered wire into circuitry?

Not sure where to hook it, but it can be done. I have a GMC truck (15si delco alternator) with this mod, running a perkins in the truck. An alternator is an alternator, they all work the same.
