Title: Motor mount - passenger side
Post by: Centex81 on January 09, 2009, 12:20:31 pm
Looking for confirmation on the correct orientation for the motor mount bushing.  The new mount came in and it is marked "Top" in a location that would be 180 degrees different from the exisiting mount that is still in the bracket. Is this a PO issue ? Which way is correct ?

Thanks for the reply. So I'll install the new mount into the bracket as shown ( through  hole below center ). Guess the fact that the old mount has "sagged" that much can explain the excessive vibration. Don't know alot about these cars but I am learning as I go along. Seems like I find something else that needs to be repaired with each project.

Those 2 mounts aren't nearly the same.
One is a five hole (the old one),..
and one is the heavy duty diesel AC mount.
Put the new one in just like you have it in the picture,.. with the space at the top,.. otherwise it will rest too solidly on the mount
