My current fleet is all non-VW, so I've decided to sell off my ridiculous stockpile of VW diesel stuff. Yesterday I tore down 3 (count 'em, THREE) 1.9AAZs, and one VW 1.6.
All the 1.9s were from cars I had driven home to pull the engines. The 1.9aaz with 167k kms was a SWEET engine I was saving for myself, but now I don't need it. The 1.6 was a longblock someone gave me.
I'll get some pictures tomorrow, but here's what I'll list so far

Hey, I also have a Brand-Spanking-New Samurai clutch, still in the box. Paid $160, will take $120
I'd sell the two k14s for $200+ shipping, because now one is missing the oil return tube. You guys would have to decide who gets the one with shaft play and no return tube, and who it gets shipped to.
I think $200 for two k14s is a pretty good deal!
You know what's funny is that Somewhere In The Garage I have a beautiful K24, but I'll be damned if I can find it. Ah well, maybe I'll save it for my Toyota 2.4

None of the IPs were leakers. All ran well... if they didn't I'd just sell it as a core. The 167k km car was my favorite; beautiful little engine that ran great and was a real little gem. Was going to put it in my 4 runner

Sorry guys, dropped off the face of the earth for a few days and fell way behind on emails and PMs. Had some troubles at work, some house issues and my wife is preggars so she has excercized some veto over my time.

OK, I've updated the list with some new items. I've also taken "tentative" off some items I haven't heard back on.
I'm also supposed to get a pile of 1.6TD stuff this weekend. 3 turbos and 2 heads, along with a few boxes of miscellany. I'll post that stuff up after I have a chance to sort through it.
I also have boxes, and boxes, and boxes of things like IP mounts, brackets, covers, hoses, PCV setups. I am really looking to clear that stuff out. Any odd little bits & pieces you might be looking for, lemme know.
I'm surprised by some of the stuff that hasn't gone yet. IP's and turbos (especially k14's) are usually gone FAST. Plus, that mk3 dash cluster must be one of 3 in canada that has a working tach AND speedo, lol.

I don't have any decent 1.6 pistons, but I'm getting a good 1.6 shortblock this weekend and it may have some.
I have 3 sets of AAZ pistons but I haven't posted them yet because I haven't had a chance to check them out thoroughly.

Yeah, it does get expensive. I've shipped heads and turbos as far as California.

I just picked up a pile of 1.6 stuff, and updated the list on the first page. I'm selling the 1.6 engine heads and IP as "cores", because I never heard the engines run so I'd rather assume they need to be rebuilt.
Still TONS of 1.9aaz stuff... heads, IPs, injectors. I really don't want to ebay this stuff

yea .... i bet they were making sure it wasn't a 'weapon'. probably sat in a corner for 15 days or so before the lazy asses got around to giving it the 'inspection'. the inspection consists of the following: throwing it around, banging it on concrete, and then making it look like shipping damage. at least thats what most of my packages look like... :roll:

Oh..thats how it works. I was worried the Non AC bracket I bought was incomplete..since the bolts were falling out when the Postman brought it in.

That wasn't from me, was it?? I try to be extra careful packaging stuff that's going into the US. It can be a long time in transit and take a real thrashing. I usually double box larger, heavier stuff and swallow extra shipping $$ just to make sure it gets there safe

probably the best thing you could do to thwart the efforts of the goons at customs, would be to over wrap everything. using lots of plastic bubble wrap layers would probably keep them out. i picture them as being like children on x-mas day. they'll get really frustrated with your 'presents' and then move on to the next. or thats what you hope :lol:
