Post by: Terrin on December 07, 2008, 12:43:50 pm
Hello All:

Does anybody know how to get that Green Plug off on the Transmission so that I can align the timing? Is there a a special tool? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

There is a special tool from VW, but you dont need to buy an expensive tool like that, just find a nut the same size that fits and weld it to a
bolt and unscrew away 8)

Yeah, I welded the bottom half of an injector to a socket,.. there was still a plastic plug that it wouldn't remove.

Thanks for the replies. Eventually I went to ACE Hardware and bought a nut that fit the plug. The Nut was big enough to still stick out. I put a socket over that and took it out.
