unplug your maf, any difference? if so the your maf needs to be replaced. another maf test is to rev the car while in nutral do the rpm's stop at the redline or below? if the rpms stop below redline then maf needs replacing

i have disconnected the maf sensor, but did not affect anything, also reved engine in neutral, and it goes to redline, could this be a turbo, or Fuel filter problem????

Does the rpm go over 3000 rpm when you drive or do you hit a rpm limiter here? if so, get your ECU checked for faultcodes.

Did you check the airfilter (check the box and piping too for birds/rats etc clogging the intake) and dieselfilter? With the engine running unscrew the bolt on top of the injector a LITTLE bit to see if every injector gets fuel.

Get in contact with someone who has a VAG tester or VAGCOM and check the measurementblocks for strange values.

in neutral it redlines, in first gear it gets up to 4000 rpm, in second it gets up to 3000/3200 rpm, in third it maybe goes to 2500 rpm and slowly increase. intake is free, new MAF, cleaned egr. someone told me to get the intake cleaned right down to the valves?

The intake could be clogged up with chucks of the evil black stuff when you cleaned the EGR.. take off the manifold and clean it, it doesn't hurt to do that anyway.
