I had the same experience with Toyo GO2's, and I've seen it too many times, I wont touch them!

Did ya try tirerack.com or any online tire wholesaler?

I bought tires pretty cheap at a Pep Boys nearby. Never had any complaints.

Does Canadian Tire ( are they Canada's Pep Boys?) carry low priced tires?

Good Luck.

Try Kijiji or Craigslist.  I got a set of 4 used Hankook snows on rims for $120.  I will say that I don't like them quite as well as the Canadian Tire Nordics I had before these.

edit: Second note, a co-worker tried to buy 2 snows at Canadian Tire today and they refused.  They say their policy is to only sell sets of 4.  Apparently the government "recommends" that snows be installed in sets of 4 and so they think this means they have a license to sell 4 at a time.

That is a little rediculous. I would think you should be able to buy one if you wanted.
