Title: adding v pully to surp belt
Post by: Chuck on July 10, 2005, 12:54:37 pm
Hi all
I have a 1.9td in a suzuki Samurai  it has a surp belt ( GM  105 amp alt)

I would like to know if a v belt pully can be added to the crank  so I can run  PS and air,

I seems easer to fab the mounts for a V belt than re fab for a surp belt of unknown length.

Thanks

Chuck

All Canadian 1.9TD's that had AC have a V belt pulley mounted outside of the harmonic balancer/serpentine pulley that drives the power steering and the water pump. The same pulley is used on the 96-99 1Z and AHU TDI's as well so it shouldn't be hard to find in the US. The part number is 028 105 253A.
