my gt2052 VNT leaver started playing up after i stupidly tried to twist the housing around to fit better, i took it apart and one vain has sheard from the arm that controls it.
what can i do, time is running out, MOT on wensday so i need to get it fixed.
DO I....
.A sum how glue/weld/tap and bolt/bluetack it back together
.B replace the vain and control leaver (is that even possible?)
.C have to buy the whole vain system that looks like its all one peace
.D will it make that much difference anyway, it only one vain out of about 15, shall i just run it like this for a bit?
.E guessing that a replacment turbo will be cheaper than the parts, shud i just bite the bullet
i dont even know where to start looking, please any help would be great

I'd weld it back on myself, but be sure that if it isn't exactly in the right place, that it's closer to too closed than too open as you don't want it to hit the turbine.
-
cudnt be welded, went to turbo technics and bort a new vain ring, wasnt too bad.
whilst i had the turbo off i made my VNT control out of random bits that i found in the garage. its realy funny, it looks pure *** but actualy works, ill post sum pics and see if you can name each part and what its from

heres sum pics of my VNT control, dunno if it actually works on the car but the theory works perfectly
what do you guys think
BTW respect if you can name every peace of junk that its made out of

I see an old throttle cable, some pump throttle levers. The idle/timing shaft and spring on the back of the newer IP"s,and a wategate .
-
most of it is made from pump bits, the shaft is made from a bit of the choke assembly off an IP, also with the help of a laminate floor instalation tool cut into 2 peaces and bolted togeather to hold it all in place.
this is the biggest bodge ever, fact! i challenge anyone to better this
-
That is funny, lol. cool though good work!

it looks brilliant!!!!!! you'll only need to tweak it a little bit for driveability (get the right tention on the spring etc) but i think it will work great for you!
-
Lol good bodge rick 8)
