I have a 1992 1.6 Eco and want to have the pump make more power.
Will someone be able to change heads, etc., and or bump it up some?
Or, should I just sell it and find an aaz pump to start with?
My pump worked fine without leaks, before the head gasket problem.
Thanks for any help!!

Send it to Giles and smile every time you drive it...

yeah, That would be my 1st choice. With that Kinda cheddar, I am halfway to an AAZ 1.9 though....
Man, this thing has me going nutz. Hopefully If I sell my 7.3 Excursion it will justify hooking this Mk2 up with some go fast TD goodies.....just for commuting efficiently of course...
Giles' Eco pump+ reman head+belts, hoses, gaskets, ARP's, Turbo upgrade....see what I mean....better to start with a 1.9 that is a runner.
Gonna have to bite the bullet....we'll see which one... :?:

well if you buy a 1.9 make sure it's had the crank nose fixed. the power is great, but don't forget that the turbo's on those engines aren't as bulletproof as the ones on a 1.6.
and if you buy the 1.9, you'll need to get a Giles pump anyway
the recent drop in the canadian dollar is making his pumps cheaper guys!!! (for you yanks  ) consider it a 'special price'

1.9 AND a Giles pump
no replacement for displacement
no replacement for a Giles pump.
Yeah, I'm happy with mine on the 1.6TD. Only cars faster at the last local autocross was Corvettes, 350Z, and turbo Miata.
