Title: whats the diff between old/new injectors/nozzles?
Post by: James8485 on October 23, 2008, 08:15:37 pm
i have a set of injectors that i aquired for my AAZ they are the stock injectors for the 1.9 TD

whats the advantage to having the "pop" pressure set higher or dissadvantage, i am going to be sending mine to giles to have done soon as i recoup some funds.

i have turned the fuel up alittle and have the 1.6TD pin in it that about it for the pump.......

am running a K24 Turbo  on it so............

any suggestions???

you need to know what to change your timing too? just stay at 155bar with the AAZ injectors!

high bar injectors isn't really a good idea. 155 bar max.  higher pressure just means that the pump has to work harder to develop the pressure, and the fuel doesn't spray any better.  TDI's have different injectors that spray better with higher pressures.  about 220 bar on TDI's.
