That was with a stock pump, at 4800 RPM. Basically the governer getting pissed at me trying to go so fast.
-
yup, just show and run. I only ran my car last year to 3500 rpm, about whaere the governer started to kick in, I'll still run the same this year, but I've done some more mods to it . hoping to see wshat it makes.
-
ill be there to dyno the mk1 cabriolet 1.9td
-
Have you broken your engine in already?
-
sweeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttttttttt.
-
awesome.
-
I might come tomarrow and dyno my Jetta TDI.
-
thanks for coming out guys, great meeting you was a great day, pretty good vw showing better than last time, there'll be another one in the spring, hopefully I'll have the new engine together by then.
Ps. Andy2 taht compund setup is just AWESOME!!!!!!!!
-
pictures? I wish I could have made it but was busy rebuilding a tranny :(
-
Thanks for the heads up on the dyno day Smoken. It was great to see all the trucks make lots of smoke  .I'd love to come next time with my golf when I get it running.
My Jetta TDI made 106 WHP and 202 lb-ft torgue.Thats with remap and no cat or EGR.
-
wow thats good torque! considering the early north american PD's were making 110 hp @ 170 ft/lbs. cool 8)
-
You're right that is good torque almost too good to be true.I kind of thought it was a little high so I have done some calculations and believe that its about 14% too high.It should read more like 106 whp and 174 wtq.
-
I can't believe people make 200hp with a mechanical IP on a 1.6td.
Can THAT be true....
I want to see the dyno results on one of those...
Or a comparison between a stock tuned up 1.6td
and one pimped to the max with a giles pump, intercooler, poo loads of boost, huge exhaust and DP ect.
im sure this has been done. This forum is more than old enough.
I keep seeing the show "Cars,Cops and Super Cars" I think its called? could just be "Super Cars" but these guys tour the states in the most expensive cars money can buy (I'm sure you've all seen it :P )
I wish there was a GTD tour
Complete with road side HG changes and all sorts of hilarious stunts like that.
Oh, and a wake of diesel smoke and complete with rioting environmentalists. (even though diesels, IMO burn less fuel than a gasser making it more earth friendly)
