I degreased the underneith of my hood to day and when i was done i looked at my car and my brake lights were stuck on! WTF! I didnt think that power washing underneith the hood would effect the tail lights. Anyways havent had time to trouble shoot myself so any ideas?

Yeah, some years/models had an electrical pressure switch for the brake lights, and some had a trigger on the pedal.  Could be a simple swap out of the switch, or you could change to a switch that is operated off of the pedal.  I like those better.

86 is under the dash. you will see it just above the brake pedal, pull the plug off and see if your lights go out. if so it must have been water through the fire wall. bad gromet or something, maybe the switch just decided to fail just then?

for some reason the switch moved and wasnt touching the brake pedal. The switch works fin so i bent the bracket slightly.
