Title: Diagnostic Connector
Post by: 4KTD on September 09, 2008, 07:42:50 pm
I have a 1993 Golf 1.9 TD and it has the 2x2 pin conn. above the ashtray for the OBDI port.  I connected my scanner to it and I can't get it to communicate, I was wondering if it's because the diesels don't have a computer to talk too?  I have power at the connector just no signal.

Can anyone clairify this for me?

I guess all cars came pre-wired for it. Oh well.

they use that for the ABS module, the comfort type electric windows also communicate.

I haven't got either, so I'm still out of luck.
