Title: Rare Head Gasket???

I did not think this head gasket was that hard to find. 85 turbo 1.6 mechanical head one notch (pistons are .026 above the deck) I thought my local import car part store could handle it. No could not locate one. Tried my regular parts store... yes but it will take a few days.  Then a phone call later no they can not get one. Called Jack in Ohio (VW diesel Parts) No... out of stock but on order. I got the machine shop tiring to find one, waiting to hear from them.  

This is the toughest engine build I ever did. (see my other posts)

Got one.....Its a Felpro. The number on the gasket was the same as some of the "German" gaskets I got. Is there just one manufacture of these gaskets?

I got my Goetze gasket in a federal mogul package inside a felpro box.  :roll:

Victor Reinz also has a 1 notch gasket

Got all my parts. Engine back together. In car and running :P  :P  :P
