Title: Muffler/Exhaust replacement question

, just wondering if anybody knows if the 2  Bosal mufflers for my 86 jetta turbo diesel are interchangeable..one muffler has a near straight pipe at the very rear and the other is slightly bent up and then a sharp bend down at the rear...certainly a difference in price between the two of them...I have no way of knowing what I orginally had since it fell off the car in last years snow storm

I believe that the older models (1989 and down) had the bend in the back and 90 to 92 were the straight pipe......
